What has sat nav firm TomTom got to do with Valentine’s Day? The answer is that TomTom, of windscreen-docked sat nav fame, decided to use its database of maps and road names to see where in the United Kingdom has the most romantic street names. They analysed the counties around the UK, from Yorkshire to Cornwall, to see where it’s most likely that romantic couples this Valentine’s Day will be able to literally drive down Lovers’ Lane or a similarly named street.

So what did they find? TomTom’s research found that the county of Kent, the garden of England in the south east of the UK, is packed full of more romantically-named streets than anywhere else, with 15.6 miles worth of such streets. London by comparison has just a bit less, with 14 miles’ worth. The counties of Essex, Cornwall, Suffolk, Lancashire (7 miles), Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Surrey and Hampshire also contain quite a lot of lovey street names.

The research team set to work by TomTom searched for words like Darling, Rose, Love, Heart, Sweet and Valentine, and discovered than in Britain, Love Lane accounts for over 20 miles of streets/roads, so comes first in their survey of romantic street names. Rose Lane, Rose Hill and Rose Street are close behind, in the top 5, followed by Lovers Lane and Valentine Road.

If you’re planning on buying a last minute gift for the one you love, perhaps a used car warranty isn’t the most romantic gesture that comes to mind. But then you would be buying them something that will safeguard their car against mechanical/electrical parts breakdown/failure, giving them added peace of mind whilst motoring throughout the next 12 months. So it’s worth a thought! But whatever you buy as a gift, whatever meal you have and wherever you go this Valentine’s Day, we wish you a happy one!

Warrantywise don’t just provide extended mechanical and electrical used car warranty plans to private individuals. We also do a lot of work with second hand used car garages/dealers throughout the UK, providing extended car warranty packages for the used cars they sell to their customers.

Car dealers have a duty to offer their customers the highest level of car warranty cover, in order to protect them and their cars from unexpected mechanical failures and breakdowns, and also to protect the reputation of the dealer themselves.

This is why it makes sense to team up with Warrantywise, as in many instances, the levels of cover provided by our warranties are even better and more comprehensive than manufacturers’ own extended warranty schemes. Should you as a car dealer find a better warranty package cheaper, Warrantywise is able to match any like for like price.

Warrantywise is uniquely the only warranty company in the UK to cover all makes and models of cars, even including imports, up to 13 years old and up to 130,000 miles. You can offer your car purchasing customers a choice of an extended used car warranty scheme which lasts as little as 3 months or as long as 36 months, for that real peace of mind.

Our extended car warranties are also individual and leading in that customers will have no contribution to pay, won’t be penalised by a betterment clause if their engine, gearbox or other part adds value to their car, there are no mileage restrictions and we include cover for premature wear & tear as standard. They can also choose to upgrade their car warranty to include and cover airbags, catalytic converters, main dealer labour rates up to £200 per hour and multimedia systems like sat nav and touchscreen audio/DVD systems.

And what’s more, our products are positioned as service and maintenance warranty plans, so come outside the remit of the FSA. This means there are no FSA exams or inspections. And our warranty prices are inclusive of VAT, keeping things simple and financially efficient for you as a second hand used car dealer.

Well-known car dealers such as Sytner, Tom Hartley, Graypaul Ferrari, Maranello, The Car Shop and many others trust Warrantywise and so can you. Come direct to Warrantywise’s friendly Lancashire-based team today for advice on how we can help you give your customers peace of mind.

At Warrantywise, the Lancashire-based, leading UK provider of extended car warranties fronted by Quentin Willson, we provide extended car warranty plans for the whole range of Audi cars, from the tiny little Audi A2 right up to the luxurious Audi A8 saloon and the sexy R8 supercar. So it goes without saying that we look after customers who own the Audi Q7 SUV too.

Oliver who writes our blog articles and manages Twitter, is a huge fan of 4×4 SUVs so was interested in seeing what car warranty claims we have recently authorised on behalf of our customers in the last few months, resulting in a repair being made at a main dealer or independent Audi specialist garage chosen by the customer. Here are the Audi Q7 claims/failures we accepted and settled:

Audi	Q7	Inlet Manifold	£1105.00
Audi	Q7	Inlet Manifold	£60.00
Audi	Q7	Throttle Body	£406.87
Audi	Q7	Throttle Body	£391.87
Audi	Q7	Catalyst or DPF	£429.87
Audi	Q7	Inlet Manifold	£769.61
Audi	Q7	Fuel Accumulator	£682.14
Audi	Q7	Air Conditioning	£441.60
Audi	Q7	Inlet Manifold	£548.81
Audi	Q7	Electrical (major)	£1072.50
Audi	Q7	Spring (suspension)	£148.16
Audi	Q7	Electrical Fault	£776.82
Audi	Q7	Inlet Manifold	£1137.64

It’s immediately noticeable that inlet manifold failures or problems accounted for 5 of the 13 Audi Q7 warranty claims we’ve paid out on, so inlet manifold issues must be fairly common on Q7s, at least as far as our own data is concerned.

The throttle body in the Audi Q7 also accounted for 2 of the 13 claims, and electrical faults also contributed, with one major electrical fault/issue costing £1,072.50 to repair and another lesser electrical fault costing £776.82 to sort.

With its large alloy wheels and oodles of technology and kit, the Audi Q7 SUV 4×4 won’t be cheap to repair when it comes to the majority of issues, so it’s definitely worth having your Q7 protected by an extended second hand used car warranty from us, if your original manufacturer’s Audi car warranty has expired. For the best price and solid advice, come direct to Warrantywise and our UK-based call centre staff will be pleased to help!

Those of you who might be toddling down to your local SEAT dealership’s showroom in the near future will hopefully catch sight of the new 2012 SEAT Exeo saloon, which SEAT are targeting even more at the executive sector – or more specifically, savvy saloon and estate buyers who aren’t too badge conscious, who understand that the Exeo is essentially a B7-platform Audi A4.

Prices for the new 2012 SEAT Exeo will start at just £19,480 and it will come with a new look, not just a facelift – along with some important engineering improvements. The Exeo’s new face will feature new bi-xenon headlights and attractive LED daytime running lights on Sport models, and these lights are upgrades for SE models. Externally, the new Exeo will also feature new alloy wheels, whilst inside, the leather materials will be to an even higher standard on the steering wheel, seats and other areas, reinforcing the car’s premium intentions.
The tweaked 2.0 TDI engine in the 2012 SEAT Exeo will be better in terms of the all-important emissions, which will be reduced to an impressive 129g/km CO2, whilst the combined cycle will be improved to a feasible 58.9 mpg. The 2012 Exeo will also get an Ecomotive version which will put out less than 120g/km of CO2, say SEAT, and will come with start-stop.

Perhaps surpsinrlgly, the SEAT Exeo is the Spanish car manufacturer’s third best-selling car in the UK, the most successful being the Ibiza supermini and the Leon hatchback.

If you’ve just bought a second hand SEAT Exeo from the used car market, Warrantywise should be your first stop when it comes to an extended car warranty for it. We provide extended car warranties for all makes and models of car. The Exeo is built on the B7 Audi A4 platform and shares various components with certain Audi, Volkswagen and other SEAT cars, so as long as you ensure that your SEAT Exeo is serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, we can provide a car warranty for you. Choosing Warranty Wise will mean that consequential damage of parts will be covered, you won’t get penalised for betterment, you can choose MoT Failure cover, sat nav, air bag, air con and other car warranty upgrade options, and we will provide good levels of accommodation, travel and courtesy car benefits. For direct car warranty quotes for your SEAT Exeo up to 10 years and 100,000 miles old, come direct to Warranty Wise for advice.

Renault and Yahoo! Have joined forces for a special competition for this 2012 leap year. They are on the lookout for the lady who can think of the most fun, interesting, and unique way to propose to their partner this year on February the 29th, the extra day.

What’s the prize for the lady with the most interesting wedding proposal which captures the imagination of the Renault and Yahoo! decision makers? First of all, the winner will receive a new Renault Twingo Dynamique, along with an all-expenses paid night in a hotel in London, plus a romantic meal for two. It’s no good if the winner is shy in front of the camera, as Renault and Yahoo! will be having the proposal filmed and broadcast on their website!
There’s also another Renault Twingo Dynamique 1.2 16V 75 up for grabs, also being worth over £10,000. This prize will go to the most creative idea from someone who is single and not actually able to propose, but nevertheless impresses the Renault and Yahoo! panel with their proposal idea.

Two runners up who are planning to get engaged this 2012 leap year will win a meal for two and a night in a London hotel, including travel expenses and also a DVD video of their special wedding proposal to remember forever. So whichever prize you win, you’re sure to be in for a treat to mark your romantic or perhaps wacky proposal!

To enter the competition you can do so via the Yahoo! website up to February 20th when the competition closes. You must be a lady planning to get married after proposing on February 29th. You must be able to travel with your other half to London on Friday February 24th. Good luck!

If you don’t end up winning the new Renault Twingo Dynamique but you own a slightly older one and it’s now out of its original manufacturer warranty, you can rely on Warrantywise when it comes to extended 3rd party aftermarket used car warranty cover for second hand cars. Warrantywise cover the whole Renault range of cars, from the little Twingo city car all the way up to the rare Vel Satis and Avantime and the spacious Espace MPV people carrier family car. If you are comparing car warranty quotes online, give Warranty Wise a call direct to see how much our superb, customer-focused Renault used car warranty plan will cost.

Today was an exciting day for those interested in the UK motor car industry, exotic sports cars in general and more specifically Aston Martin, as the company gave us a look at initial images of their new V12 Zagato, which is set to go into production as a road car later in 2012.
Aston Martin are positioning the V12 Zagato at the very top of their Vantage range of sports cars. The Zagato cars are steeped in heritage, from the DB4GT Zagato to the new V12, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the name. In many ways the V12 Zagato is a tribute to the DB4GT Zagato and other Aston Martin GT cars, but will be packed with oodles of technology and tradition in equal measure, taking the V12 Zagato to an exciting new stage in the company’s history. Materials trialled on the One-77 will feature on the V12 Zagato, but the firm will retain an integrity to the purity and detailed craftsmanship of the predecessors.

It was back in Spring 2010 when Aston Martin V12 Zagato prototype images starting getting banded around and a year later in the Spring of 2011, the concept cars were finished, with May 2011 witnessing the world debut of the V12 Zagato at the Villa d’Este concours, in the Concept Cars and Prototypes class, where it ran away with the coveted first prize! Most impressively, both V12 Zagato cars completed the 24 hour endurance race at the Nürburgring.
Prospective V12 Zagato buyers started queuing up at the proverbial door, so Aston decided to produce a very limited run of 150, built at the firm’s HQ in Gaydon, Warwickshire. No mean feat, as each V12 Zagato apparently takes 2,000 hours to build! If you want to buy one, you’ll need to scrape together a mere £330,000, but with such high demand, it’s doubtful you’ll be able to secure one for delivery in Autumn 2012.

If you own an Aston Martin which is no more than 10 years old and has covered no more than 100,000 miles, Warrantywise of Lancashire, represented by ex-Top Gear Quentin Willson, can provide an extended used car warranty to help you protect your cherished Aston. Our mechanical and electrical extended warranties packages really are cutting edge, putting the customer first. If your Aston needs a new engine, gearbox or some other large component or repair, which adds value to the car, we don’t penalise you, whereas some other car warranty companies do. We also believe that ours is the best car warranty because we cover consequential damage, replace various parts in pairs out of good safety and engineering practice, and we can cover sat nav, air con, air bags and so much more, including main dealer garage mechanic repair rates up to £200/hour.

In the last few months alone, Warranty Wise have paid out on car warranty claims for Aston Martin DB7, DB9, Vantage, Volante and Vanquish models. Contact us today for a quote to compare our car warranty, for that all-important peace of mind.

Chrysler UK has splashed out £10 million pounds on a new advertising campaign in an attempt to relaunch the brand in the UK, with a more urban and gritty image. The campaign is called “What We Do” and the TV advert which many of you may have seen for yourselves by now, showcases Chrysler’s entire US range – many cars of which will make their way to the UK soon if not already.

In the Chrysler TV advert you will see a new 300C, the Grand Voyager people carrier MPV, the Delta hatchback and the Ypsilon, which is the new Chrysler supermini, which is actually a Lancia, but sold as a Chrysler in the UK. Chrysler’s new TV advert starts off in Detroit, “Motor City”, where much US car building history stems from. As the 300C emerges from the tunnel, it’s suddenly in London, showing the firm’s arrival here with their new branding.

Chrysler is proud to be different as a brand, in their approach and in the design of their cars. The new commercials really focus on this. They have been hugely successful in their homeland of America and aim to now conquer Britain. Of course, their Grand Voyager already featured in the Alan Sugar Apprentice series and is a household favourite for many large families, and the 300C has become a hit for people who want a huge, imposing, almost Bentley-like saloon, at a much cheaper price. And just think of the wacky design of the PT Cruiser with its old-fashioned image. Loads of people loved this car, and the same can be said for the sport-looking Crossfire coupe and convertible. Certainly very different cars!

If you have bought a second hand Chrysler from the used car market in the UK, perhaps from AutoTrader, a private seller, Gumtree or even eBay auctions, you can come to Warranty Wise in the knowledge that we can help when it comes to an extended mechanical and electrical warranty for your Chrysler. In the last few months alone we have paid out on warranty claims made by our customers for Chrysler cars including:

300C Turbo Charger £595.00

300 C Automatic Gearbox £885.76

Chrysler Crossfire Engine £1960.54

Grand Voyager Electrical Fault £401.75

Crossfire Steering Pump £534.44

Chrysler Neon Head Gasket £274.89

PT Cruiser Wheel Bearing £503.42

Voyager Air Conditioning Compressor £552.75

Voyager MPV clutch £278.18

To view what other warranty claims we have settled for our Chrysler owner clients, visit our car warranty claims page and click on Chrysler in the dropdown menu. Contact Warrantywise’s Lancashire call centre direct today for advice on the best used car warranty for you and your Chrysler.

Positive news for Isuzu, who now focus solely on commercial vehicles and light pickup trucks in the UK market. 2011 saw their sales rise by 11% on the previous year and in terms of all the European countries where such Isuzu vehicles are sold, the UK proved to be the best market for them. 2,431 of the Rodeo pickup trucks from Isuzu were sold in 2011, with 97 dealers across the UK working hard to achieve this.

The Isuzu Rodeo is proving a hit in the UK market, owing to its square, rugged, invincible styling and Isuzu’s reputation for off-road ability. Pricing for the Rodeo 4×4 is surprisingly affordable, starting at just £13,995 and going up to £23,495 for the top of the range 3 litre diesel, 5-seat model called the Denver Max LE Auto.

But what if you’ve been eyeing up, or already own, an Isuzu Trooper or another kind of Isuzu car or off-road 4×4 vehicle, when it comes to extended mechanical and electrical warranties? Where can you find the best car warranty? Well Warrantywise is a great place to start. Based in Lancashire and proudly fronted by Quentin Willson off the telly, we provide leading extended vehicle warranties, available for all makes and models of standard UK cars, with up to 100,000 miles and up to 10 years in age.

It’s true that we don’t provide loads and loads of warranties for Isuzu vehicles, but this is simply because they’re not that common in the UK. But you still see a few Isuzu Trooper and Rodeo models out there. In the last few months, we have paid out on warranty claims for Isuzu vehicles including:

Trooper – Engine Repair – £1,000

Trooper – Starter Motor – £316.41

Trooper – Gearbox Selector – £1,425.50

So you can see that Isuzu warranty claims on average aren’t cheap. It therefore makes sense to have a decent warranty in place – one worth the paper it’s written on, which doesn’t penalise you for betterment, can cover MoT Failure, main dealer labour rates and so much more. That’ll be Warrantywise!
