In the survey we sent out to all those who have contacted us for an extended warranty quote since January 2011, 95% of the over 1,000 responders said they found the Warrantywise website easy to use. This is exactly what we have always aimed for – to make our website effective and helpful to those comparing extended used car warranty plans. Warrantywise sent out a survey to a few less than 30,000 people who have requested an extended car warranty quotation from us this year and we’re grateful for your replies. In the previous blog article about our survey, we looked at the demographics i.e. the gender, age, marital status and income bracket of the people who requested car warranty quotes from us. The next question on our survey asked people if they were aware that their car’s warranty could be extended, before they contacted Warrantywise for a quote. A perhaps surprising 22% said no, they did not know they could extend their [...]

As winter beckons, motorists are being warned to be extra vigilant when driving in icy conditions because of the grip of most vehicles. Drivers who own a Peugeot 3008 crossover however don’t have half as much to worry about, with the car becoming the first to tackle the one-in-three gradient at the Tamworth snow dome. The ultimate test of grip has proved to be an impossible challenge, with other four-wheel drive vehicles failing to tackle the steep slope. Peugeot’s two-wheel-drive crossover however completed the task with relative ease, demonstrating just how effective the cars grip [...]

Britain saw the potential beginning of a new era in motoring today, with the grand opening of its first hydrogen filling station. The station is based inSwindonand forms part of the city’s bid to implement a ‘hydrogen highway’ running parallel with the M4 motorway. The idea of hydrogen is seen as an extremely financially viable alternative to the traditional petrol powered vehicle. The Mercedes Benz 300 SLR is one of the most iconic cars of automotive history. With a top speed of180 mph, had it been put into production back in 1955 would have been the World’s fastest car. Unfortunately there are only two prototypes remaining in the world, currently residing in the Mercedes museum in Germany. However a group of German enthusiasts have rebuilt this old beauty, the only difference is that it’s made from more than 10,000 pieces of scrap metal. The car, which took seven painstaking months to complete is fitted with a replica engine, the original style ‘gullwing’ [...]

For quite a few recent years, Japanese cars have come out highly in reliability and owner satisfaction surveys so many people have the perception that buying Japanese, such as a Toyota, Honda or Nissan, will mean they will experience trouble-free motoring. But any make and model of car, no matter how reliable it’s meant to be, can fail at any time. Even very new cars. It’s surprising how many newly-registered cars are spotted on hard shoulders by the side of motorways throughout the UK. Cars are getting more and more complex in their design and specifications. Thousands of components [...]
