What parts are protected by your EV warranty?
Our EV and EV Plus warranty plans protect critical EV components such as the auxiliary battery, drive battery (in EV Plus), onboard charger, AC power inverter, DC to DC converter, traction motor, power regeneration braking system, thermal cooling system, braking components, electrical systems and key fobs.
Optional additional protection can include items like airbags, air-conditioning and advanced driver assistance (ADAS) systems.

Does your EV warranty include parts and labour?
Yes, both our EV and EV Plus warranty plans protect both parts and labour for authorised repairs.
Your maximum labour rates can be selected by you at the point of sale to give you freedom to take your vehicle to any VAT-registered garage of your choice.
Is there a limit on the number of repairs you can have carried out on your EV?
No, there is no limit on the number of repairs you can have carried out on your vehicle, up to the value of your warranty plan, which in turn is linked to the market value of your vehicle at the time you take the plan out.
These figures will be clearly explained in your specific circumstance at the point of sale and will be noted in your warranty plan book.

What additional benefits are included with your EV warranty?
Our EV plan includes benefits such as emergency breakdown assistance, temporary car hire, onward travel expenses, repair diagnostics and parts replacement in pairs without any need for a voluntary contribution.
What is excluded from your EV warranty?
Exclusions include ‘wear-and-tear’ parts, pre-existing faults (faults existing before the plan’s start date), parts not correctly maintained as per manufacturer guidelines, faults occurring because of a lack of correct, scheduled servicing and non-listed or aftermarket parts.
Gradual loss of battery capacity is also excluded.

Can I cancel my EV warranty?
Yes. You can cancel your plan within 14 days of taking it out for a full refund. After this period, cancellations are subject to terms and possible fees.
Is your EV warranty insurance?
No, our warranty is a discretionary warranty, supported by friendly warranty experts.
When does protection for premature failure begin and end on your EV warranty?
Protection for premature failure begins at 30 days or 500 miles (whichever comes first) after the plan start date and ends when the vehicle in question reaches 10 years old or amasses 100,000 miles.

What are my responsibilities as the EV’s owner?
As the owner, you must keep your vehicle road legal with a valid MOT, insurance and V5C registration certificate in your name.
You must also keep up to date with regular servicing and maintain service records. Failure to do any of the above could result in rejection of repair requests or even plan cancellation.
What happens if EV repairs are needed?
If a repair on your EV is needed, simply follow the steps on our Start a Repair page or call our repairs team on 01254 355 102.
All faults must be reported to Warrantywise within 7 days of them occurring, and you must wait to get pre-authorisation from us before the repairs are started. Warrantywise may inspect the vehicle or parts before we give authorisation.
**Starting repairs without prior authorisation may result in your request being rejected.

How do you handle servicing history on EVs?
Warrantywise may verify your vehicle’s service history and MOT status. If servicing history cannot be verified or scheduled servicing is overdue, your repair request or plan may be declined.
Is emergency breakdown assistance included for EVs?
Yes. If your EV breaks down during a journey, Warrantywise may pay for recovery up to a certain mileage limit and may also pay for some accommodation or onward travel costs.
