Do I need an extended car warranty?

If your car is over 3 years old, your manufacturer’s warranty has most likely expired, leaving you vulnerable to expensive repair costs.

Think of an extended or used car warranty as a safety net for your wheels, which may pay for unexpected repairs beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty.

Extended car warranties may pay for a wide range of costs, including the cost of unexpected repairs and mechanical failures. It gives you peace of mind, knowing that you may not face expensive repair bills.

Can I choose my own garage?

Yes. You can use any VAT registered garage of your choice, however, we always recommend using one of our Approved Repairers. These repair facilities undergo careful monitoring to guarantee the best workmanship and service quality.

What are plan additions?

Plan additions are designed to enhance our service and give you more choice when personalising your warranty. You can add or remove these additions during the quote process to tailor your warranty to your needs and budget.

Our warranties are available in lengths to suit your needs. From monthly to 12, 24 or 36 month warranties.

Who is the independent arbiter for Warrantywise?

Master mechanic, Edd China, is the independent arbiter for Warrantywise. As arbiter, Edd will be responsible for supporting Warrantywise and our customers by providing input to the contents of our extended warranty plans to ensure they remain the UK’s best. Edd will also arbitrate any issues that arise between Warrantywise and its customers and exercise his discretion to ensure you receive a totally fair service.

As a master mechanic, Edd is perfectly placed not only to be able to advise on how to ensure its warranty plans are in keeping with industry trends and provide competitive advantages, but also ensure they meet the highest level of service possible. He will also exercise his discretion and hold the final say, above Warrantywise, over any repairs and can overturn any decision he doesn’t deem fair or reasonable on any customer’s behalf.

Once you're ideal plan has been selected based on your cars age, make and mileage you can choose additional elements to personalise your warranty to suit your needs and budget.

Our warranties are designed to provide the widest potential scope of repairs for the age and mileage of your vehicle. We automatically select the most appropriate level of plan for your vehicle, which you can then tailor to meet your specific needs during the online quote process or by speaking with one of our team of warranty experts on 0800 001 4990, who will help you through the process.

If you purchased your warranty directly, then yes. If you sell your car, you can transfer the remainder of your warranty to your new vehicle. Depending on the make, age and mileage of your new car additional charges may apply. Call our admin team on 0800 001 4990 for full details.

Our Price Promise applies to any plan level you have been quoted for, where the plan level is identical (“like-for-like”). If a like-for-like comparison cannot be made, we will issue a bespoke quotation based on your needs, which we guarantee will be the most competitive price and plan we offer at that time.

To activate our Price Promise, proof of an active comparative quote (dated within the previous 30 days) is required. We do not match exclusive or restricted discounts (e.g., student, NHS, blue-light). Warrantywise reserves the right to refuse a price match where fraud or unauthorised reseller activity is suspected.
