Edd’s expert knowledge

Automotive enthusiast, presenter, master mechanic, motoring specialist, and inventor, Edd China, best known for co-presenting the Discovery Channel’s Wheeler Dealers programme, shares his passion for all things automotive and gets under the bonnet of used car warranties.

How I work with Warrantywise

As a passionate advocate in the automotive industry, I strongly endorse the importance of used car warranties, they can offer priceless peace of mind and financial protection against unforeseen repairs. Warrantywise stands out by providing a discretionary warranty like no other, what I mean by this is that they consider each repair request on its merits to decide if a repair is appropriate, and that’s just one of the many reasons I chose to work with them.

In my role as an arbiter, I am dedicated to ensuring that the warranty plans are not only fair and transparent but also customer-oriented. Should a dispute arise that cannot be resolved through the usual channels, it is my responsibility to step in and use my final discretion to find a resolution. With this unique approach, Warrantywise sets a remarkable standard in the industry.

To help you understand the complexities of used car warranties, including the discretionary aspect, I’ve created a few short videos I call them ‘Edd’ splainers’…

What are ‘additions’?

Plan Additions are there to make your warranty even better and give you more choices to customise it according to what matters most to you. Here, Edd explains how warranty additions can provide you with added peace of mind.

What’s not included?

Stop driving your vehicle the moment you think something is wrong!

If you carry on driving you can make the problem worse, and this could invalidate any repair request you make.

Your vehicle servicing is up to date, using a VAT registered garage

You make sure your car has been properly serviced, and our car warranty will look after your vehicle.

Don't repair your vehicle without our prior authorisation

Tell us what you’re doing before you pay for any repairs to your vehicle, so we can log it. We can’t guarantee we’ll pay for the necessary repairs if you don’t let us know first.

Our expert examiners are available to diagnose a problem

If we’re unsure about the exact nature of a part failure we may ask an expert engineer to examine your vehicle. This is a standard process and assists us in cutting out confusion.
